H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, U.A.E. Foreign Minister, has met a number of his counterparts at the sidelines of the 69th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

Sheikh Abdullah met separately with Mexican Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Jose Antonio Meade Kuribrena, Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ioannis Kasoulides, Lebanon’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Gebran Bassil, Bernard Kamillius Membe, Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Republic of Tanzania, and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Paraguay, Eladio Loizaga Caballero.

They tackled during the meetings bilateral relations respectively, and ways to enhance them in the economic, trade and cultural domains.

Sheikh Abdullah also discussed with them the U.A.E.’s balanced policy in respect to major regional and international issues of mutual interest. They also exchanged views with the foreign ministers on the UNGA’s topics, among others, the latest developments in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, and international counter-terrorism efforts.

The meetings were attended by Major General Fares Al Mazrouei, Assistant Foreign Minister for Security and Military Affairs.
