The United Arab Emirates is honored to announce a multi-year contribution to the CERF, starting with 1.5 million dollars in 2018 and increasing in 250,000 increments to 2 million dollars in 2020.
This year marks our 11th consecutive year of contributing to the CERF. Our experience has led us to view the CERF as one of the most effective multilateral humanitarian channels. With its global reach, its creation of an objective, cross-UN interface for donors, and its concrete dedication to leaving no one behind, it embodies the principles of humanity, neutrality, impartiality and independence
We hope that the Secretary-General, as well as individual UN agencies and programmes, will increasingly encourage all donors to make CERF a first choice in the UN ecosystem.
