H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, last night met with his counterparts, American Secretary of State, John Kerry, Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Pavlo Klimkin, and Nepalese Foreign Affairs Minister, Mahendra Bahadur Pandey, during the 69th Session of the UN General Assembly, which is being held in New York.
During the meetings, the parties discussed bilateral relations and ways to develop and strengthen cooperation in various fields, including investment, trade and economy.
The Ministers discussed their positions and common interest goals on various regional issues, particularly towards international terrorism and the Syrian crisis, as well as topics on the UN agenda.
The meetings were attended by Ambassador Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Permanent Representative of the U.A.E. to the UN.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed also participated in the tripartite meeting at the headquarters of the Italian Permanent Mission to the UN, which included Federica Mogherini, Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Bernardino Leon Gross, Special Representative and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya.
The meeting covered the latest developments in Libya and the pivotal role that the UN mission plays to provide support and help achieve security and stability there.
The meeting was attended by Major-General Faris Al Mazrouei, Assistant Foreign Minister for Security and Military Affairs.
